Joie Villeneuve, originally from Minnesota, USA, is a passionate, award-winning visual artist. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Art from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, Joie made a bold move to Australia in 2008 and now works from her studio in Mandurah, Western Australia.
Her practice dives into the symbolic connections of water and land, blending texture, colour and materials across painting, sculpture, printmaking, bookmaking and installation — each piece inviting the viewer to look closer and discover new layers of meaning.
